Dalux Box centralizes all design issues in one shared, traceable platform, making coordination more structured and reducing reliance on emails or multiple platforms.

When all design documents are uploaded and shared on a single platform, it makes sense to handle design coordination there too. Dalux comments keep all data in one place, simplifying coordination, issue tracking, and progress follow-up with the design team.

Comments in Dalux Box

Create comments directly in combined 3D models, 2D drawings, documents, or as general coordination notes to ensure every issue is clearly communicated in context.

In 3D, teams can highlight discipline coordination issues, clashes, dimensions, or installation conflicts directly in the model. In 2D drawings, add comments to geometry, joints, room data, layouts, or missing information. Document comments support reviews of specifications, material samples, technical details, and other project documentation.

Annotations help all project participants pinpoint the issue. The required and customized fields in the comment form make responsibility clear and give the assignee the information needed to make a decision.

How to create comments

Create comments on drawings and documents, by opening them in Files and clicking New comment.

Create comments on federated 3D models, by opening the 3D view in Locations and clicking New comment.

The process is very simple:

1. Create a comment in Dalux and assign it directly to the responsible design team.
2. The responsible team receives a notification and the comment appears in their inbox.
3. The design team sees the comment in the right context, can make relevant changes, and reply directly back to you in the comment.

Dalux tracks status and communication throughout. Assigning comments directly in Dalux ensures issues do not get lost in emails, makes responsibility clear, and makes it easier to track decisions over time.

Import comments from other design coordination tools to keep all issues in one platform. Using the Dalux plugins and BCF Live Connector for Solibri, design teams can work in different modelling software while keeping all communication in one place.

Using the Dalux plugins in Revit or Navisworks, push issues directly from design models to Dalux and link them to specific model elements. This reduces the need to manually duplicate issues from one platform to another.
