Welcome to the Dalux release notes for 2025.5 (Aug 24 2025).
Our highlights, changelog, and detailed release notes for Dalux 2025.5 are below.
| Stamps | Filters in work packages | Hyperlinks to documents |
|
With Stamps, you can add markups and a QR code to drawings when publishing them. The stamp shows who authorized the drawing and when, and the markups highlight last-minute changes. The QR code shows if the drawing is the latest version in Dalux. |
With the addition of filters in work packages, it is easier than ever to find the right workflow. You can select from a set of predefined filters based on workflow type or create your own filters by combining types and names. |
Hyperlinks now allow you to link drawings to documents. This means that you can open relevant documents, such as specifications, directly from the drawing - giving you quick access to the information you need. |

Field
Changes to Test plan and Inspection plan setup
Test and inspection plans are now included as workflows within work packages. This update increases transparency regarding content and user groups, providing enhanced control over access and communication among groups. While it will affect project setup, there will be no changes for the end user.
Read more about the changes in this article: Changes to Test plans and Inspection plans in release 2025.5
Filters in work packages
You can easily find the specific workflows you are looking for in your work packages by using filters for type and name. Choose from the predefined type filters in the side menu, or create your own filter to narrow down and find the workflows you need.
New Field dashboard is now the main home screen
The new Field dashboard was introduced in version 2025.3 and is now the main screen that appears when you click on Field. Analytics have been moved to the Home tab as a subsection.
Import multiple test plans or inspection plans to projects
You can import multiple test or inspection plans into your project at the same time, either from other projects or from the company profile.
Filter and sorting added to Excel exports
When exporting tasks, checklists, test plans, inspection plans, and daily logs to Excel, the filter and sort options are included. This allows you to filter and sort in Excel just as you would in Dalux.
View tasks linked to checklists and their status in list view
A new column will give you a quick overview of linked tasks, showing how many are open and how many are closed.
Minimum deadline considers non-working days
If a task template has a deadline with a minimum number of days, non-working days will now be excluded from the count. This means you will need to select a date that meets the minimum deadline requirement.
Workflow no longer shown in closed Approvals
Once an approval has been closed, the workflow is no longer visible. This clarifies that the approval process has been completed and is no longer active.
SiteWalks open with maximum field of view
When you open a SiteWalk, the field of view automatically adjusts to its maximum setting. This allows you to take full advantage of the full-screen viewer and see more details. You can still zoom in as needed, and the field of view remains consistent when switching between images.
Rearrange and reset columns in daily log types
Changes to the order of columns in daily log type list views are now saved when you rearrange them. You can also reset the columns to their default view.
Filter and sort daily log types by date modified
You can now filter and sort daily log types based on the date and time of their last modification.
Company information shown in checklist metadata
Company information for the creator and modifier of checklists is now shown in the metadata and prints.
Field administrators can import task templates from other projects
If you are in the Field administrator role for several projects, you now have the ability to import task templates from one project to another.
Export data to spreadsheets from Owners Portal
In the Owners Portal you can now export data to Excel or download individual reports. The download buttons have been replaced with an Export button.
Associate new task templates with inspection plan workflows
New task templates can also be assigned to inspection plan workflows added to work packages when they are created.
Box
Introducing Stamps
With the Stamps feature in Box Pro, you can add stamps to your drawings when publishing them. The stamp includes information about the authorizer, the authorization date, and the drawing's status. You can also use Stamps for last-minute markups on published drawings. This feature helps save time by allowing for quick updates and minimizing the need for redraws due to minor changes, thus keeping your projects on track.
Already published files need to republished to add or change stamps and markups.
If you want to learn more about Stamps, read these articles:
Asynchronous uploads
Uploading files to Box is now asynchronous, meaning you can continue working in Dalux while uploads occur in the background.
Improvements to the PDF viewer
The PDF viewer has been updated with easier navigation, improved zoom options, page overviews, and the ability to highlight text across pages. The new viewer is available for all new document uploads and new versions, as the files must be processed before they can be viewed in the new viewer.
Hyperlinks from drawings to documents
Hyperlinks now allow you to link from drawings to documents. This means that you can open relevant documents, such as specifications, directly from the drawing, providing quick access to the necessary information. Simply add the relevant hyperlink to the document's 'Number' metadata field.
You can read more about hyperlinks in this article: Hyperlinks on PDF drawings
Comments metadata suggestions
When you create a new comment, the responsible, deadline, and priority are saved and will be suggested automatically for your next comment on the same file, across comment types. The title is also saved and can be selected when creating a new comment. This helps you create comments faster when the responsible person and deadline are the same.
Comments on documents sorted by page number
Comments in documents are now sorted by page number. This makes it easier to work through the comments while reading the document. If needed, you can also change the sorting to be date-based.
Metadata changes logged in file history
The file history view now clearly shows changes made to metadata, letting you see which values were changed and by whom.
Columns for zones and rooms in list views
In Box, you can filter and sort zones and rooms within the list view. This makes it easier to identify which files are linked and where they are located.
Set status as required metadata for model files
The status metadata is now always enabled for model files, and it can be configured as a requirement in the metadata requirements.
Assign comments from submittal remarks to approver
When a remark in a submittal is turned into a comment, the approver group can be assigned to it. This helps when the submitter has resolved the issue and needs the approver's review.
Hide the information and history menus in submittals
You can now hide or show the information and history menus in submittals. This allows you to view the complete submittal whenever necessary. Information and attachments are now combined into one.
Public markups are no longer available
The public markups feature has been replaced with the new stamps feature and is no longer available. You can still edit or delete existing public markups, but you cannot create new ones.
InfraField
Improved navigation between adjacent 360 images
Thumbnail views are now available for 360-degree images in InfraField. View and navigate all images within a 20-meter radius, with synchronized movement between the main view and thumbnails.
Compare nearby 360 images
With the new thumbnail view, you can easily compare 360° images side by side, making it simpler to find specific images without relying solely on dates.
Cross section of profiles in Quantities
When viewing your profiles in Quantities, you can now see a cross-section view as well. You can open this view in full screen and scroll through your alignment. This new feature gives a third perspective for profile calculations in InfraField Quantities by creating a cross-section view.
Please note, you need the latest Dalux desktop app (3.5) to see cross sections of profiles.
Support for DXF models and drawings
InfraField now supports DXF files. During the upload process, you can manage them like DWG files by selecting either model or drawing.
Locations
Toggle rooms on or off for model files
You can choose to include rooms from models added to buildings. If you turn this option off, the rooms will not appear in the Locations tab. Please note that changing this setting requires reprocessing the model, which may take some time before the changes appear in Locations or Design.
Improved visibility when comparing 3D and point clouds
When you compare the point cloud to the 3D model, the model is shaded in white, making it easier to see the differences between the points and the model.
Design
Improved model validation checks
The model validation feature is now organized by folders containing groups of 3D objects. You can use folders to categorize 3D objects from various disciplines and perform checks for clashes and clearances, such as between architectural elements and HVAC installations. All checks are conducted simultaneously, and the results are displayed in a matrix format that allows you to easily identify any issues.
Please note, you need the latest Dalux desktop app (3.5) to run checks simultaneously.
Switch to the desktop app when attempting to compare or view duplicates
When trying to compare versions or show duplicates in the browser, you are now asked to switch to the desktop app.
Save filters when comparing
You can now save filters when comparing model data. Filters can be saved either as personal filters or, if you are a group admin, as shared filters for your group.
Tender
Export ended Tenders
You can export ended tenders all at once, and you can choose which parts of the tender you want to include in the export. Tender administrators, Tender responsibles, and Tender observers can export ended tenders.
New standard Tender requirement
New tenders will now include a default requirement, and at least one requirement will be mandatory. New tenders will be created with a document requirement named 'Bid'. This will help you get started with Tender. You can edit this requirement as needed or import your own from your company profile.
Improved Messages and Q&A exports
You can now select multiple questions, answers, and messages for export. You can also include attachments when exporting individual messages or Q&As.
See original Box file path in Tender
When adding files to a tender from Box, the original file path is visible in list view. This makes it easier to find the folder where the file is stored in Box. 'Tender materials' has been renamed 'Tender files'. Performance has also been improved, so files will now be added faster.
See tender information and download files from public tenders on mobile
When you open a public tender link on your mobile device, you will see details about the tender, and you can access and download the tender files before requesting access to the tender.
Management renamed to Tender organization
Management in Tender is now called Tender organization to better match the associated roles.
Tender organization roles shown in contacts
Now you can easily filter and sort users who are part of Tender organization roles (Tender responsible, document responsible, observer) in the contacts list.
Company profile
Test plans and inspection plans in Project standards
Test plans and inspection plans can be added from your company profile Field library to project standards.
Activate Submittals and Stamps in Project standards
You can now toggle submittals and stamps on so they will automatically activate in projects that use the project standard.
Set Capture types in Project standards
When you activate Capture in a project standard, you now have the option to choose which capture types should be activated by default.
Plugins and integrations
API identities for Dalux Build API
API identities serve as a way to access the Dalux Build API with specific permissions. Creating an API Identity allows you to specify the level of access to the system, whether it is access to all company data across all projects or limited access to certain groups on particular projects. API identities will replace old API access, and old API keys will expire on February 28, 2026.
