Project
Project data
In 'Project data', you can edit the majority of your project's basic information.
- Project name: The project name is displayed when users access this project in Dalux. It is also used for any notifications that are being sent via email. This field is required.
- Project number: The project number reflects your internal numbering scheme and can be added to report templates. This field is required.
- Construction site address: If you distribute drawings and documents to a print supplier, you can auto-select the construction site address as the delivery address.
- Language: The project language is the default language for every user. Users can still change their preferred language individually.
- Time zone: The time zone is used for any time-related information, including metadata about created or updated documents and tasks, meeting start times, and much more.
- Options: If 'Require phone' is activated, users get reminders when logging in to Dalux to add their phone number to their Dalux account.
- Units: Select the unit system used in your project. This will impact how measurements are displayed and how temperatures are recorded in your daily logs.
- Location: By setting your location, you can set the default map view and zoom level for all users when they open the map in Locations. This helps users get faster context information. Setting the location is also a basis for accurate weather data.
- Logo: The uploaded logo is printed on any reports users are exporting from Dalux. It is also added to email notifications.
- Project photo: The project photo is displayed when users access this project in Dalux.
- Close project: For closing projects, please read this article for more information: How to end your project
Payment
You can manage information like the recipient or an additional note for your invoices. For further changes to your invoice, please contact your Dalux consultant.
Company updates
If information about a company has changed in the company profile, you can update the company on a project level here.
Project standard
See here if the project was created from a project standard. If so, you can choose to unlink it or change it to a different project standard. This allows you to import different templates if they were not available in the project standard by the time of creation.
History
Activity log
In the activity log, you can see all the main activities of all users in the project. Opening the project, making changes in the project settings, uploading new documents or creating new tasks, or sending out notifications, this gets documented in the activity log.
You can filter for specific information or export it if desired.
Email log
The email log contains all email notifications that are sent out from this project to any user. This allows you to see if users were informed about certain information.
Announcements
The Announcements feature allows you to send and pin project-wide information to every user. Users will get notified about this and see it as a pinned message every time they log in to this project.
You can set up and display multiple announcements. Click on Create to set up a new one.
Give it a short title and write your announcement in the 'Description' field.
If you know that you want to display the announcement until a certain date, you can define the end date here. Be aware that announcements without an end date are active at all times, but you can add an end date later.
By confirming with 'Create', the announcement will be activated and sent out to all users.
Delete will deactivate the announcement and delete it from the project. If you want to activate the announcement again at a later time, we recommend editing it instead and setting an end date. When this end date passes, the announcement will be deactivated, but it can still be accessed from here.
Date & time
Non-working days
Setting up non-working days allows you to specify the actual working days in your project whenever a time interval is set. For example, if an authorization step should take 5 working days, it will take non-working days into account.
Saturdays and Sundays are considered non-working days by default.
You can Import country-specific non-working days, such as holidays, but you can also
Add custom dates to them.
Example:
A file is sent into an authorization flow on Wednesday.
- 2 days: Deadline is set to Friday
- 3 days: Deadline is set to Monday the following week
If Friday is set up as a non-working day, deadlines move by one day.
- 2 days: Deadline is set to Monday the following week
- 3 days: Deadline is set to Tuesday the following week
Security
Multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication is explained in more detail in this article: How to set up Multi-factor authentication
File access
When sharing files externally, users get an email prompting them to log in to their Dalux account. Without project access, they cannot open the file. You can change this so external users can download the file directly from the email without logging in.
