As a design manager, structured design reviews ensure that the project meets the requirements. Review packages allow you to create and control the stage review of a project with multiple participants.
The Dalux review package combines the reviewer, documents, and comments in the same area, making the review process easier for everyone involved.
Review packages
A review package in Dalux Box consists of 5 areas:
1. The review package
The package name and description make it clear to reviewers what this review is about and what is expected of them.
Use a classification system that follows the stages of the project, as they are sorted alphabetically.
2. Overview
This displays the settings for the package, ensuring that each reviewer knows where the files came from, what comment type is used, and when they are expected to finish.
3. Files
Files added to the review package are always a specific version, so each reviewer knows exactly which version they are reviewing. Comments are still visible on other versions, but it is clear which version they came from, making it easier to follow up.
4. User groups
Anyone added via a user group can add, view, and close all comments in the review package. Users can add comments at the same time without blocking each other's access.
5. Review comments
All comments made by reviewers are listed under review comments. You can open and edit these comments from here.
Design review issue
The design review issue is used to capture issues identified by design review participants.
The comment type includes custom data fields such as Importance, Discipline, and Designer Response to facilitate progress tracking and reporting.
The design manager can use the list view to track progress and the chart view to generate reports. The list view can be configured to show only the relevant data:
The chart view can be configured to filter on different metadata fields:
