How to use Apartments

This article covers how to use the Apartments feature.

You can use Apartments in Dalux to report issues in your residence, and see announcements, files and meeting invitations from your building owner.

 Sign-up and log-in

How to register in Dalux
If a project manager has invited you, you have received an invitation email to Dalux. Click on 'Accept invitation' to start creating your user in Dalux.

Please note that you cannot use Apartments with an email address that has already been registered in Dalux.

Alternatively, if there is a QR code in your apartment, scan it with your phone or tablet and you will be created as owner of the specific apartment.

On desktop, you can log in at https://build.dalux.com/client/login and fill in your user information.

How issues and communication work in Apartments

Once you have created an issue in Apartments, communication about the issue will only take place within Dalux. This means that if the apartment administrator replies to an issue you have created, you will have to log in to Dalux to reply.

As soon as an apartment administrator has replied to your issue, you will receive an automatic e-mail notification. You cannot reply to this e-mail. Instead, you should follow the link to the issue in the email.

Unfortunately, Dalux cannot help with specific problems in your residence, these must be dealt with by the responsible company.

Depending on the status of your issue you can:

  • Close - Close the issue if the answer is acceptable or the issue is no longer relevant
  • Answer - Send a message back to the apartment administrator
  • Reopen - Reopens the issue, if it was closed by mistake or without a resolution

How to create issues - Mobile

If you have been granted the rights, you can create issues.

To do so, from the Home tab, click New issue.

If relevant, take a picture or attach a file explaining your issue, write a subject for your issue, and select a location on the drawing of your residence. Send the issue by pressing the -icon.

Announcements - Mobile

When you log in, you can see the announcements shared with you by the project manager. Click on it, to see the full message:

You can access the files shared with you in the Files tab.

How to create issues - Desktop

If you have been granted the rights, you can create issues. To do so, go to:

 Issues  All issues New issue.

You can use the floor plan of your residence to select a location of the issue. Click on the floor plan set select the location.

You can then fill out the subject and description. If needed you can also attach an image or file from your computer.

How to see announcements - Desktop

Announcements can be seen in:

Apartments Announcements or from the Home screen.
When you log in, you can see the announcements shared with you. Click on it, to see the full message:

Files - Desktop

You can access the files that were shared with you in the Files tab:

How to participate in a meeting - Desktop

When you are invited to a meeting, you will receive an invitation by email. Alternatively, you can also see it on Dalux by going to:

Apartments Meetings.

To accept the meeting, click Show Choose one of the listed meeting times 'Accept meeting':
