In this article, we will cover how to add bookmarks in 2D and 3D. You can add bookmarks to locations on your building models and drawings to easily navigate to that view at a later point.
Bookmarks will save your current view, along with filters, measures, and cuts. You can read more about creating filters here: Filters and visualization in Locations
Tips and tricks
As an alternative to bookmarks, you can press CTRL+L to copy a link to your current view. This link can then be shared with other project participants. Filters, cuts, measurements, etc. will also be copied. The link can be copied by pressing CTRL+L or from the Bookmarks menu.
How to activate bookmarks
Bookmarks can be activated by going to:
Setting
Locations
Add features
Bookmarks
Activate.
Add bookmarks in 3D
In 3D you can add the bookmarks to an object in the model to easily return to that view. When returning to the view it will even apply the filter that was applied at the time you created the bookmark.
To add a bookmark:
When viewing the model Bookmarks
Add bookmark
Name the bookmark
'Add'.
Add bookmarks in 2D
In 2D you can add the bookmarks to a drawing in the project to easily return to that view.
To add a bookmark to a drawing: When viewing the drawing Click
Bookmarks
Add bookmark
Name the bookmark
'Add'.
