AI Safety hints

This article covers how to activate and use AI Safety hints in Dalux Field Pro.

AI Safety hints automatically scans SiteWalks to identify potential safety risks and supports safety managers in reviewing observations and creating safety issues where needed. AI Safety hints does not send safety issues automatically. Hints are for convenience only and do not replace on-site safety inspections.

Prerequisites

Before using AI Safety hints, ensure:

• A custom user group has permission to upload SiteWalks
• At least one work package includes a safety workflow
• The 'Safety managers' user group has at least one member

Activate AI Safety hints

To enable AI Safety hints, you must be a  project administrator. Once activated, AI Safety hints automatically scans all new SiteWalks, that were recorded after this feature was activated, for potential safety risks.

Go to SettingsFieldSafety: 'AI Safety hints'.

If you can not see the Safety feature here, go to Add features to activate it for your project.

How to use AI Safety hints

Find and open hints

When AI Safety hints detects a risk, it generates a hint and makes it available to the safety manager user group.

Access hints in FieldSafetyAI Safety hints.

Open a hint to see the corresponding scene in SiteWalk, where AI Safety hints detected the potential risk. You will see a description of why AI Safety hints evaluated this image as a potential safety risk.

Use the arrows to navigate between the hints in the viewer.

In the list view, a red dot marks unopened hints. 

AI Safety hints automatically removes hints after 30 days if no action is taken, whether they have been opened or not.

Create Safety issue

From each AI Safety hint, you can create a safety issue.

1. Open the hint to see the corresponding scene in SiteWalk.
2. In the AI description of the potential risk, clickCreate safety issue.
3. Fill out the template and send the issue just like your regular safety issue. Dalux Field automatically adds a cropped screenshot of the SiteWalk image and fills out the title and description. You can still edit them. Fill out the severity and category manually.
4. Select the correct workflow and send the safety issue.

When you create a safety issue from an AI Safety hint, Dalux Field disables the Create safety issue button on that hint. The hint indicates that you created a safety issue from it and links to the related issue.
