AI safety hints File references in comments Group model validation clashes and clearances

Support site safety by auto-flagging potential safety issues from your SiteWalk recordings.

A safety manager can then choose to turn them into safety issue tasks or close them without additional action.

Add references to other files to your comment. Reference the whole file, or quote directly from it. This adds a link to the referenced source.

Readers can jump directly to the source file and text passage, to give the complete context.

Group together different clashes in to one connect new comment type that automatically keeps track of any remaining clashes between model revisions.

Clash comments automatically close if all clashes have been resolved.

AI Safety Hints

We are introducing AI Safety Hints powered by SiteWalk. It's a quick, easy, and automatic helper that points out potential safety issues on the construction site.

With this new feature, you get a tool that automatically detects and suggests safety risks in your recordings. These hints are generated from images in your SiteWalk, and you can review each one to decide if you want to create a new safety issue or not.

You can read more about AI Safety Hints in this article: AI Safety hints

SiteWalk floor map

In addition to the path and the coverage view that was introduced in the previous release, SiteWalks can now also be displayed as a floor map. Floor maps show a top-down view of the recorded level for each SiteWalk.

Floor maps are only available for SiteWalks done in buildings with models.
This new feature makes it easier to navigate and find specific locations and provides an overview of ongoing site work and clutter without having to open the 360 images.

SiteWalk recording time increased

After the release is rolled out for all regions, SiteWalk will support 10 minutes of continuous recording, so you can record more of your construction site in one go. You can still easily combine multiple recordings into one walk to ensure you capture everything you need.

Create meetings permissions in user groups

It is now possible to give a custom user group permission to create meetings. This allows the user groups to create a new meeting or use the meeting templates in the project. When a user group creates a new meeting series permissions are automatically set to View, edit and create follow-ups for the meeting series.

New meetings menu

The Meetings menu has been redesigned and simplified in to:

  • Meetings
  • Meeting sessions
  • Meetings items

In Meetings all meetings you have access to are shown. The newest meeting whether it is the planned, ongoing or finished is shown.

In Meeting sessions and Meeting items you can dive in to each individual session and meeting item. Use filters to narrow down the results to find what you are looking for. These filters can be saved and used for later.

SiteWalk feedback e-mail notifications

If a SiteWalk recording could not be processed correctly, you will receive an email explaining why processing failed. You can use this info when preparing for your next SiteWalks to ensure the recordings will be processed correctly.

You will find this info about all your failed SiteWalks also directly in the More menu in the list of all SiteWalks in your project.

Always visible workflow roles

Roles added to workflows are now always visible, so it is easier to see which role is responsible for each workflow step. You can also choose a common construction role from a drop-down menu or type in your own custom role name.

Box

File and text references in comments

When you create comments or add a message to a comment, you can now reference files and include text references from other files. People reading the comment can then jump straight to the referenced file for more details. This makes it simple to add information and share your sources with others.

New formatting tools for writing comments

New formatting tools have been added to comment descriptions. This makes it easier to structure and highlight information clearly, for example using bold, italics, and bulleted or numbered lists.

Assign multiple submittal remarks

When reviewing remarks during a submittal review, you can now select multiple remarks at once and either ignore them or assign them manually to a comment type and user group. Each remark is turned into an individual comment, so you can track each issue separately.

Toggle comment access in submittals

When setting up submittals, you can choose if the reviewers in the review flow can also see any comments made from remarks in the submittal. Reviewers are notified of relevant comments, making it easier to keep everyone informed.

File name copied to number metadata for quicker hyperlink setup

When you upload new files to Dalux Box, the filename is automatically copied to the number metadata. Since the number metadata is used for hyperlinks, having the filename there makes it easier to adjust the number column and create working hyperlinks for your drawings and documents.

Open a specific file version directly from the list view

You can now open a file version directly from the list view by clicking its version number.

Access your log for sent files

You can now access the Send files log when sending files. All users can open the log, but see only their own send-files actions. Project administrators and project planning managers can see all send-files actions across the project

Advanced filters with multiple conditions

You can now create advanced filters with multiple 'and conditions' in the list views in Dalux Box. This gives you more options to build custom filters that fit exactly what you need.

Search in drawings

The search bar has been added to drawings, so you can search for text within the drawing. This makes it easier to find specific information like rooms, legend explanations, or elements in the title block.

Terminate older file flows when starting a new flow

Users with termination rights can now choose to terminate older, non-completed file flows on the same file when starting a new flow. When older flows exist, the button expands so you can review which flows will be terminated and decide whether to proceed. This reduces the risk of running duplicate flows on the same file and avoids wasted effort on steps that end up terminated by a newer flow.

Upload new versions in Box for drawings uploaded by plugins

Previously drawings uploaded to a Dalux project from a modelling software plugin did not support upload a new version directly from Box. This restriction has been removed. Uploading a new version will remove any hyperlinks created by the plugin.

InfraField

Cut and fill volumes in specific area

When you're working with InfraField Quantities, you can now get your cut and fill volumes for a custom area. This makes it easier to check volumes in specific spots instead of looking at the totals for your whole profile calculation.

More options for cut and fill slope refinement

Excavation slopes can now be set up separately for the left and right sides of a profile, making it simpler for you to adjust designs based on different installation and terrain conditions. Slopes are turned on for both sides by default, but you can easily change each side whenever you need.

Warning for approximated alignment curves

Alignments that contain curves that were approximated now show a warning that the geometry might show some variance when displaying in Locations.

Locations

Colorize objects from the property list

Colorize has been added to the property list. This makes it easy for you to quickly color code specific properties of the elements in the model.

Design

Group model validation clashes and clearances

Now you can use disciplines for specific user groups to create grouped clash comments. When you are looking at your model validation results, you can create a comment and choose as many clashes or clearances as you want to group into one comment.

This sets up a new comment type just for model validation, where clashes or clearances are tracked automatically, and the comment will close once all the grouped clashes or clearances have been resolved.

You can learn more about grouped model validation clashes and clearances in this article: Group model validation clashes and clearances

Add cuts to your model directly in model validation

You can now add cuts to your model directly in model validation. This gives you more control over your view, making it easier to examine clashes and clearance issues

Check for 'not equal' in property checks

The 'not equal' option has been added to property checks in Model validation. This gives you more flexibility when setting up property checks to fit your specific needs.

Tender

Create single tenders outside of tender groups

You can now create tenders outside of tender groups. This is useful when you need a single tender that does not share organization or files with other tenders. Tender groups now have a new icon to help you tell them apart from standalone tenders.

All or no tender requirements when copying a tender

When you copy a tender, you can no longer select individual tender requirements anymore. Now, you either select all requirements or none at all. This helps keep things consistent between copied tenders within the same tender group.

Questions/Answers sorting by newest question

The default sorting for questions and answers has been updated to show the newest question or answer at the top.

Removed default tender group

When starting a new project with Dalux Tender, there will no longer be a default empty tender group. This makes it easier if you are working with individual tenders, while still making it possible to create a tender group if needed.

Handover

Workflows, tasks, and current responsibility in asset review

In the asset review flow in Dalux Handover, it is now clearer who is currently responsible for the next step of the asset. This is shown in the workflow at the top of the asset highlighting the current responsible.  From here you can also

  • expand and see the full workflow
  • see in which step of the workflow the asset is in and who has the responsibility
  • see the number of open tasks on the asset
  • click on the open tasks to jump to them directly
  • see a checkmark if all related tasks were completed

Note: If review of assets is deactivated, the asset card will not show any workflow.

Improved document management on assets

Managing documents associated with assets is easier with the new dedicated window that includes search and filter options. This feature is particularly helpful for assets with numerous documents, as it allows you to find what you need more quickly. You can also add documents directly to assets from this window.

Improved export of Handover data

When exporting Handover data, such as assets, on an overview drawing, we now automatically divide drawings with more than 50 registrations to multiple pages. As a result, the overview is cleaner and it's easier to recognize all registrations.

When downloading multiple files directly from an asset, you can choose to download all attached files or to download only the selected files. Files will be packed as a zip file.

Company profile

File flow templates in project standards

You can now save your file flow setup, including triggers, flow starters, and workflow steps, as a template in the company profile. This makes it faster to set up new projects using your standardized file flow process, instead of recreating it each time.

Box dashboard in company profile

A new Dalux Box dashboard has been added to your company profile. It gives you an overview of the file status and comment status across your projects. You can check totals or normalized data and filter each chart by status. From the dashboard, you can go directly to the project in question, by clicking on the project name.

More Safety features in the company profile

When you set up a project standard, you can now choose which Safety features to activate for the project. This makes new project setup quicker and more consistent across your company's projects.

See last access for company users

As a company administrator, you can now see when a user last had activity in the company profile. This makes it easier to monitor engagement, identify inactive users, and manage access or licenses accordingly.

You can now also select multiple users at once in the company profile to remove them in bulk.

General changes and plugins

Revit plugin version 6.6.0

A new version of the Dalux plugin for Autodesk Revit has been released. This version introduces support for "sheet sets" and Revit 2027. You can find more information in this article: Dalux plugins for modelling software

Search for project number in project overview

You can now search for projects using the project number set in the project data. This makes it easier to keep the project name and number separate, while still letting you use either one to find the project you are looking for.
