Build release notes 2025.8

Welcome to the Dalux mobile release notes for Build 2025.8 (Dec 16, 2025).

The new mobile app product update (6.17) was released on Android and iOS prior to this release.

Please update the mobile app by Dec 16, 2025 to continue using the Dalux app without interruption.

Here is the changelog and detailed release notes for Dalux Build 2025.8 and the Dalux mobile app version 6.17.

See more 3D with the dynamic split view

The split view in Locations now adjusts its size automatically depending on whether you're navigating the 2D drawing or exploring the BIM model. This combines the benefits of the split view with the full-screen 3D experience. You can still switch to a full-screen 3D view whenever you want.

Measure faster with improved point-to-point measure

The point-to-point measurement tool now sticks to the edge of your screen when you pan and zoom on a 2D drawing. You can now zoom in to the precise spot you want to measure to and simply drag the measurement tool to the spot. This makes it easier than ever to measure large distances or the fine details.

Automatic summation of point-to-point measurements

When you take measurements across multiple points, Dalux now automatically adds them up and shows the total. This makes it easier to see the combined measurement without having to add each one yourself.

Slider added for 3D cuts

We've added a slider to 3D cuts to make it easier for you to control your cut while navigating around your model.

Position marker on mobile

The position marker measurement is now available on mobile as well, displaying the X/Y/Z coordinates of the marker. This feature is particularly useful for InfraField projects that cover a large coordinate system.

Translate subject, description and messages in tasks on mobile

Available in Field Pro projects.

We are introducing translations directly in the Dalux mobile app for tasks. The subject, description, and messages can be quickly translated to match the language selected in the app. This feature helps multilingual teams to coordinate and collaborate more effectively on site.

Please note that the translations are AI-generated and should be used with discretion. Dalux is not responsible for any translation errors.

Access 3D from the map view

When you're looking at your model on the map, you can now tap on the map to quickly switch to the split or full 3D view. This makes it easier to explore and navigate your model, even when it covers many kilometers.

Show default alignment and GIS data on mobile

In our last product update, we added default GIS and alignment data for desktop, and now these updates are available on mobile too. This makes it easier for your onsite teams to see important data on the map whenever they need it. You can choose up to five different alignments or GIS layers to display.

Better cross section visibility on mobile

Cross sections on mobile now resemble those on desktop, featuring improved transparency and clearer edges to help you better see the current cross section and the model ahead.

General changes

New QR codes can be scanned outside of the Dalux app

You can now scan newly generated QR codes for zones, rooms, and 3D objects using your regular camera app, even outside the Dalux app. This will take you to a landing page showing the name of the zone, room, or 3D object group, where you can choose to open or download the Dalux app.

New QR codes have a small Dalux logo in the center to help you recognize them.

When you scan a new QR code within the Dalux app, it works just like the old ones by opening the placement right away.

All your existing QR codes will still work, but they still need to be scanned using the Dalux app.

Zoom out for a wider view when taking photos

When taking photos in the Dalux app, you can now zoom out to 0.5x, giving you a wider field of view. This feature is helpful in small rooms where you need to capture more of the space.
