Welcome to the Dalux release notes for Build 2025.6 (Oct 09, 2025).

The mobile version (6.16) has been released on Android and iOS prior to the desktop release and supports the new features seen below.

Here is the changelog and detailed release notes for Dalux Build 2025.6.

Field

Create SiteWalks without a BIM model

SiteWalk is now available for projects without BIM models. Using SiteWalk on drawings lets you get a 360-degree view of your site and compare images from different dates. It’s useful for pre-registration and ongoing checks during construction or renovation in projects without BIM models.

Set photos as required for reporting tasks ready

You can now set up task templates to require a photo before the task can be reported ready the first time. This is useful for task types like defects or quality issues to make sure photo documentation is included.

An icon will appear next to 'Take photo', and if you try to report the task as ready without adding a photo, you'll be reminded that a photo is needed.

Signatures in Daily logs

Signatures can now be added to daily logs. This means the person submitting the log will need to include their signature before submitting it. Similarly, the approver(s) will need to add their signature before approving the daily log. Once approved, both the submitter's and approver's signatures will be saved in the log. Available both on desktop and the mobile app.

Highlight and copy text from various registrations

Text from registrations and phone numbers can now be highlighted and copied from the app.

Added HDR support to 360 images taken with Insta360 X5

When you use the Insta360 X5 camera to take 360 images with HDR, the HDR data is now saved and applied to the final image in Dalux. This helps create clearer pictures with better contrast and brightness.

Locations

Screen pans when measuring point to point on drawing

The screen will now pan when you measure from point to point on drawings using a mobile device, making it easier to get the measurements you need.

Clearer edges on model objects

Edges on objects in the model are now more clearly defined, making it easier to distinguish between different objects and giving the overall appearance of the model a cleaner, more polished look.

Edge detection in point to point measurements

Edges of model elements are now visible when measuring point to point, and the measurement point will snap to and stay on the edge. This helps you get your measurements more accurately and easily.

Enhanced visibility for multiple photo albums or 360 images in the same area

The name label for images is no longer shown in Locations, making it easier to see when you have many images in the same area.

Box

Toggle searching inside of documents on or off

You can now choose to search either within the content of documents or just the document titles when using Box on mobile. This can be useful if you know the document title and want to avoid results where the term appears inside the document.

Ricoh Theta X camera will no longer be supported for SiteWalk after 2025.8

Starting with the 2025.8 release (expected December 2025), the Ricoh Theta X camera will no longer be supported in the Dalux app for SiteWalk. We no longer recommend this camera, and suggests users start migrating to one of our recommended cameras found here: How to prepare for SiteWalk
