Navigate the site using QR codes

As a construction manager, it is important that contractors are working in the correct location, but areas can look similar on every floor and it is easy to make a mistake by selecting the wrong location for an RFI or quality registration,

By creating zones and setting up QR codes, everyone on site can find the correct location by scanning these codes in the Dalux app.

Dalux zones

Zones are created in Dalux and drawn on top of drawings. Zones are primarily created to support the users on-site, making it easier to plan work and navigate around the building.

In this use case, zones were created to locate 4 specific rooms on the first floor.

QR codes can be printed and added to the entry points for these rooms, allowing users to scan and be directed to the correct room.

Using the Scan QR Code feature, Dalux users can quickly find the correct location and any associated items such as checklists or tasks.

Administration

Start by creating zone layers and zones to support your site processes.

Make sure the zones cover the correct area. If you want to redo the zones, do not delete them as this will break the link to the QR code.

After zones are created, you can print QR codes for the zones and add them to entry points.
