Site survey

As a construction manager, collecting site data to document existing conditions and plan work can be a daunting task if not planned correctly. It is critical that all areas are surveyed, and the data collected is available to project members.

Use checklists to collect site survey data and zones to track your progress.

During the survey, be sure to filter for the checklist you want to use before creating the first registration. You can see which zones have already been surveyed and which are missing by the gray, orange, and green color codes.

When filtering by zones and checklists in Locations on desktop, the status of the site survey is indicated by the same gray, orange, or green colors.

Zones are created as a layer top of drawings in Dalux. Zones are often created to support the contractor's different construction processes. You can learn more about creating zones in this article: Zones and zone layers.

Make sure that the checklist can be linked the correct zone under 'Linked to'.
