This article will cover the basics of how to use the map feature in InfraField projects.
The map can be found in the Locations tab. It allows you to view all of your geometrical data in context with a map of its surroundings.
Change between the map and drawings
If the project is using both structures/areas and the map, you can switch between these by pressing the /
icon. Switching to the map will open the map layer that your project administrator has set as the default.
When you are in map view, you can use the -icon to go back to the last viewed drawing. Similarly, when you are viewing drawings, you can use the
-icon to return to the map view.
Change between map layers
To switch between custom map layers, tap on the name of the current map layer. Then, select a different map layer from the menu and close the menu by swiping it downward.
Show GIS data on the Map
The GIS layers are located in the map view within the custom map layer menu. They are displayed similarly to Dalux Desktop. You can select multiple GIS layers at the same time.
To access the metadata for various objects, click on them and then select GIS data. The number next to the icon indicates the number of properties associated with the object. Press on the GIS data to view the properties.
Show drawings and models on the map
Pressing on the map name lets you display drawings and top-down views of your models directly on the map. You can display multiple models and drawings at the same time. Simply select them from the menus, and the map view will zoom in on the activated information.
Show zones on the map
Press on the map name to view zones on the map. You can select multiple zone layers to display them together on the map.
Pressing within a zone layer lets you access any properties of the zones and all registrations in this zone that you have access to.

You can reverse the cross-section by pressing .
Close the cross-section by pressing .
Turn off selection
You can remove all selected elements at once by clicking the icon on the far right.
Filter for types of registrations
You can use the Filter to display registrations made on the map. It works similarly to filtering on drawings, where you select the registration type from a list. Registrations will be displayed as labels or dots on the map, depending on how much you zoom in. You can then press the registrations to open them.
