The field analytics tool is used to gain information about tasks and approvals in the project. With the displayed graphs, you can gain information about the number of tasks created within a given time frame, their status, type, and to which work package or workflow they belong.
Analytics overview
To get to the analytics page, go to Field
Analytics.
This page will show you a visual summary of the tasks and approvals that you can edit. It will be presented in the form of a graph.
The graph will organize and color tasks based on their status, and you can specify a specific time range for it.
To edit the time range, click the drop-down menus in the top right of the window and choose another date for either 'From', 'To', or both.
You can also modify the view of the graph by applying filters to it at the top of the page. There are two main views:
- Personal overview
- Overview
The personal dashboard shows all the tasks you have permission to edit and the project dashboard shows all the tasks you can see, including those you can't edit.
Work packages
You can filter the analytics graph by work packages as well. The default selection will be to filter by all work packages, but you can also choose to only see tasks from a specific work package or workflow. To do so, click the work package drop-down and select the work package or workflow you want to view tasks for:
Types
You can also filter the view by types of tasks. The types are based on task templates, safety task templates, and approval templates. The default selection will be to show all task types and you can then uncheck those you do not need. You always need to select at least one type.
Analytics for company administrators or observers
If you are a project administrator in the project, and company observer/administrator, you can access different views within the analytics page.
You will have a personal view like any other user. But instead of the normal overview, you will have a project overview.
In the project overview, you can view all tasks in the project:
Additionally, you get a separate view for each task type, that displays data on:
- the number of tasks each company is responsible for
- how many tasks were created by each company
- a bar chart for the creation date of the tasks
- the total amount of that type of task and how many open and closed tasks there are
