In this article, we cover the basic navigation and features of the Dalux FM Mobile App. This article only covers the Dalux FM app and not the HelpDesk app.
If you are unsure how to log in to the Dalux FM mobile app, read this article: How to create a profile and log in to Dalux FM.
Please note, that the mobile app might appear different depending on which modules are activated in your Dalux FM instance and what user role you have in your instance.
Work orders
When you log in and select a Dalux FM instance, you will land in the Work orders tab.
This tab will show all inboxes for you and your team. Here, you can see all HelpDesk tickets and work orders that are relevant to you.
The number next to each inbox shows the number of open tickets or work orders.
From this screen, you can also scan a QR code by pressing the icon at the top. Scanning a Dalux FM QR Code directs you either to the room or asset to which it is linked.

Create new work orders
Create new work orders by either clicking the icon at the bottom of the screen or scanning the QR code. Alternatively, you can also create work orders from Locations. All of these options are described here in more detail: How to create Work orders on mobile.
Find work orders
When opening a folder, it is possible to sort and filter the view to get exactly the information you need. A set of default filters, such as deadline and priority, are available for quick access.
You can specify more filters and sorting options by pressing the -icon. This opens a new screen, where the filter can be customized. Note that you can select multiple values before clicking on 'Apply'. This way, you can quickly create specific filters while on the go.
You can flip the order of sorting by clicking on the icon in the top right.
Assets
In the Assets tab, you can view all assets of your instance and even create and edit them. Make sure that you have the proper permissions to do so.
Opening an asset will show all its information, photos, and any documents that are attached to it.
This makes it easy to find the documentation and information for assets while on the go.
Create new assets
You can create assets by clicking the icon at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, you can also create assets from
Locations.
Creating assets on the mobile app is covered in more detail in this article: How to create FM Assets on mobile.
Find assets
You can use the various filter options to find the asset you are looking for. Buildings, classifications, and disciplines can be chosen right in the filter bar. The number next to the list entry shows the number of assets with this attribute.
Set additional filters and sort the results by different attributes by clicking on the icon.
You can also scan a QR code by pressing the icon at the top of the
Assets menu. Scanning a Dalux FM QR Code for an asset instantly opens the asset in the app.
Note that you can only open QR codes that belong to your current instance. Dalux FM will inform you if the QR code belongs to a different instance.
Locations
When you go to Locations, the tab will open in the map view. If you've allowed the Dalux FM app to access your location, the map will zoom in on your current location. You can also press the
icon to zoom in on your location if you've navigated away.
You can change the view by clicking on the icon. Here you can choose between 'Standard' and 'Satellite' maps. If your administrator has set up custom map layers, you will find additional options. You can also change between seeing
Buildings and
Lots. If you want to see all your buildings in a list view, click on the
icon and select 'Show Buildings in List'.
Zoom in or out by pinching the screen. When zoomed out, your buildings and lots will be grouped and displayed as a dot with a number. Clicking on a dot will zoom in on the selected group and show the buildings and lots in more detail.
At the top of the map view, you can change the filter by pressing the icon. This can be used to view work orders, tickets, assets, or images on the map.
When you click on a building on the map, you have the option to 'Show building' or 'Create'.
Show building
This will open the building and show all information linked to the building, such as drawings and documents.
You can see general information about the building by pressing the icon.
You can see the contact person's information and the building's suppliers by pressing the icon in the top right.
Below, you will find an overview of the work orders, tickets, and assets that are associated with the building. For work orders, you also see if any of them are overdue.
Create
If you select a building and press 'Create' (depending on user permissions and modules activated), you have the option to create new work orders, tickets, assets, and images.
