Drawings attached to buildings can be assigned to disciplines or subdisciplines. This groups the drawings in a folder structure, when viewing the building. This makes it easier for on-site personnel to find their relevant drawings.

How to set up disciplines and subdisciplines
User rights
Disciplines and subdisciplines can be created by either the project administrators, project planning managers, or users with 'Edit' permissions for buildings. When Box is enabled on the project, users need edit permissions for both Locations and the corresponding files/folders in Box.
To create and assign drawings to disciplines and subdisciplines, the project needs to have at least one building with linked drawings. You can read more in this article: Upload IFC model files and 2D drawings.
Disciplines and subdisciplines can also be created when creating or editing new buildings for the project. Disciplines and subdisciplines are project-wide and once created, can be used on any building in the project.

Create discipline and subdiscipline and set a single drawing
In this example, we have multiple drawings on each floor. Each drawing belongs to a different discipline.
To create/set drawings to disciplines and subdisciplines, click on the -icon next to a drawing, and then click
Discipline.
In the pop-up window, disciplines and subdisciplines can be created. Subdisciplines can only be created under disciplines. To create a new discipline, click Add
'Discipline'. Give the discipline a name and click 'OK'.
To create a subdiscipline:
Click on an existing discipline
Add
'Subdiscipline'
Name the subdiscipline
'OK'.
To set a drawing to a discipline or subdiscipline click on a discipline and then click on 'Save'.
When viewing the building, we see the drawing has been set to the architectural discipline.
Set multiple drawings to a discipline or subdiscipline
To speed up the process, you can use the list view, by clicking the -icon.
From the list view, multiple drawings can be selected (Shift or Ctrl-click) and set to a discipline or subdiscipline at the same time. Click More
Discipline.
Click on discipline or subdiscipline and then click on 'Save' to set the multiple drawings selected.
View the drawings in the Locations module
When viewing the building in the Locations module, the drawings will now be sorted into folders for each discipline. This is shown both on desktop and mobile. These are viewed by going to
Locations and selecting the building.
On Mobile, the discipline and subdiscipline folders are also seen in Locations.
Remove drawings and delete disciplines or subdisciplines
To delete disciplines or subdisciplines, go to
Settings
Locations
Buildings
Select a building
Edit.
Select a drawing on the building and click the -icon next to the drawing name, then click on 'Disciplines':
To remove a drawing from a specific discipline or subdiscipline, click on No discipline and then on 'Save'.
To rename or delete a specific discipline or subdiscipline, click on it, and then click Delete discipline or
Rename.
Note: Renaming or deleting does not change data on existing drawings. This means drawings have to be unset or set to a different/renamed discipline again.
A discipline cannot be deleted unless all subdisciplines are deleted first.
