This article explains how to duplicate a folder structure from another project using the Dalux Sync application. By copying the folder structure from an existing project, you can save time instead of creating it from scratch.

How to activate Dalux Sync
User Rights
You need to be a project administrator to activate folder creation with Dalux Sync.
To copy your folder structure, you need to have installed and activated Dalux Sync on your computer. You can read all about Dalux Sync in this article: Synchronize files between Dalux Box and your PC with Dalux Sync.
Once this is done, you have to enable 'Folder creation permissions' in the new project.
If you want to copy a folder structure, folder creation permissions must be enabled on the project.
To do this, go to Settings

How to copy folder structure from an existing project
To copy the folder structure from an existing project to a new project, you need to download both projects with Dalux Sync. To do this:
Go to File Explorer Right-click on the 'Dalux' folder
'Dalux Sync'
Download new project:
Then a Dalux window will pop up. Select the project that has the folder structure you want to copy.
Select which folders you want to download and click 'Download project'.
Repeat this for the project where you want the folder structure copied to.
You should now have two projects downloaded:
- One project with the desired folder structure
- One project where you want to copy the folder structure to
Copy folder structure from existing project
In File Explorer, go to the folder of the existing project. Then open the 'Files' folder. Choose which folders you want in your new project and copy them:
Now go to the new project's folder and open the 'Files' folder there. Then paste the folders into the files folder:

If you only want to copy the folder structure then remove the files in the folders. If you want certain files to be copied to the new project you can leave them in the folders.
Upload folders to a new project
To upload the folders to your new Dalux project. Go to:
File Explorer Right-click on the Dalux Sync folder of the new project
'Dalux Sync'
Upload:
A Dalux window will pop up. You can select the folders you want to add to the new project.
When you have selected your folders, click 'Upload'.
When the upload is done, a status window will show, and you can see if there have been any errors. If all went according to plan, your folder structure will now be copied to the new project:
