This article will show you how to accept an invitation to Dalux and how to create a Dalux profile. We will then look at how to log in to Dalux Desktop and Mobile.
Accepting an invitation and creating a Dalux account
To use Dalux you will need a Dalux account.
A Dalux account can only be created if you have been invited to a Dalux project, or if signing up for one of our two free products, BIM Viewer or Field Basic.
Accepting an invitation
When invited to a Dalux project, you will receive an email with an activation link. Click the green 'Accept invitation' button to continue.
A browser will open in which you can enter your information. Your email and password are the credentials with which you log in to Dalux. Any other information is displayed to other project participants to collaborate.
Enter your information and click 'Create user'. Your profile is now created, and you can log in to Dalux.
Create a new account for a Freemium project
To create a new account for a freemium project on mobile, make sure to download the Dalux App:
Open the App and select 'Sign up' on the login screen:
Enter your profile information. Your email and password are the credentials with which you log in to Dalux. Any other information is displayed to other project participants to collaborate.
After you have entered your information, click 'Sign up'. Your profile is now created, and you can log in to Dalux.
Note
When creating a Dalux account on your mobile device, you can only access the Demo project and projects you are already a part of. To create a new freemium project, please log into your account on your PC.

Create a new account for a Freemium project
To create a new account for a freemium project on your desktop, go to the Dalux Homepage: www.dalux.com. Then, click on 'Get started':
A dialog appears in which you enter your company email address:
Enter your company email address and click on 'Get started now'. Confirm your email address by clicking on 'Create account' in the email you receive.
A webpage will open in which you can enter your information. Your email and password are the credentials with which you log in to Dalux. Any other information is displayed to other project participants to collaborate.
Fill out your information and click on 'Create account', then you can log in to your Dalux account.
Logging in to Dalux
Dalux can be accessed on both desktop and mobile devices.
Logging in to Dalux Mobile
To get started with Dalux Mobile, first download the app.
Make sure you download the Dalux app.
You can find the download page for the app by clicking either of the links below:
With the app downloaded and opened, type in your email address and password. If you have access to multiple Dalux projects or Dalux FM instances, a list will be displayed.
While logged in, you can access the settings by clicking on the More menu at the bottom. You can change your profile settings (except for email and password) in the app. You can also change your email preferences or the displayed language.
Logging in to Dalux Desktop
To log in to Dalux Desktop, you can use Dalux Desktop or a web browser.
On web browsers go to https://build.dalux.com/
Dalux Desktop and the web browser version will look the same.
Type in your email and password and click 'Log in'.
When you log in, you will see an invitation to a project. Click 'Accept invitation' and the Dalux project will be added to your projects. If you only have one project, it will automatically open.
When logged in to Dalux, you will see the project name displayed at the top of the screen. If working on multiple projects, you can click on the project name to switch between different Dalux projects or Dalux FM instances. Additionally, you can access your profile settings, download Dalux Desktop, or log out by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the screen.

A Dalux employee will NEVER ask you for your password!
Leaving a project
By leaving a project you will lose all access to the data that has been uploaded/created in your Dalux project. You will need to be invited to the project again to get access.
Make sure that you have exported all desired information before leaving the project. If you simply want to stop receiving email notifications about the project, you can do so without leaving the project by following this guide: Email notification settings.

You will be prompted to verify your account by entering a code that is sent to your email.
